14th Annual Midsummer's Moot

Birch run, June 21st, the sight and date of the Fourteenth annual Mid-Summer's Moot took place. It was the first moot I did not spend the night at. I brought potatoe salad (mustard) and onions and potatoes for the friendship soup.

To compare it to previous moots, it was much more like a festival, completely with a vendor trailer, tables with goodies waiting for auction, and games and competitive events like Archery, Axe Throwing, Tug of War, and other fun activities. As for organization, it was probably the BEST executed and structered Moot, and everyone seemed to have fun.

The weather was kind this year, the turn out was very large, and it was a great chance to meet some friends. To be honest, those I thought might have problems with me, were VERY kind and polite. Even though I didn't show it at the time, those small gestures and greetings meant a lot to me. All in all, I call it a success, but that's only because, despite all the challenges I expected to face this year at Moot, I enjoyed my time, and the company.

It was good to see Mr. Nance, and meet another gentleman who is going to be running for political office this next election in Michigan. All the usual suspects were present, save a few, and some old usual suspects that came back to see to their fading reputations as the "usual suspected".
